“He Is Supposed To Be A Christian?” Jarrod Jacobs
A young boy sees the actions of another young person at play and makes the observation, “He is supposed to be a Christian?” A young lady hears the words of an older lady in a check-out line and thinks, “She is supposed to be a Christian?” The actions and words of a congregation in town are observed by their neighbors. Those watching collectively wonder, “Is this group supposed to be made up of Christians?”... CLICK
“Have You Been Saved?” Jarrod Jacobs
Jesus said in the Great Commission: “Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned” (Mk. 16:15-16). To be “saved” from sins means to have the “remission of sins” (Lk. 24:47). Our sins are forgiven through the blood of Christ (Eph. 1:7) when we have enough faith in the gospel (and in Christ, Jn. 8:24) to repent of our sins (Lk. 13:3; Acts 2:38), confess our faith in Christ (
Rom. 10:9-10), and be immersed in water (Mk. 16:16; Acts 22:16)... CLICK
“God’s Wisdom” Jarrod Jacobs
One thing that is lacking in this world is an appreciation for and obedience to the wisdom of God. What can one study, or read to obtain God’s wisdom? It is the Bible! True, the entire Bible contains God’s wisdom. However, in this study, let us focus our attention on the Psalms. Please read the verses listed below carefully and then we will make applications to our lives... CLICK
“Fight The Good Fight Of Faith” Jarrod Jacobs
Many forget the fact that being a Christian is a struggle, a real fight. Many “Christians” portray an attitude that since they have been faithful for a time, they will now rest on their laurels and wait for God to “take them home.” Sadly, such people are deceiving themselves. This will not happen. The apostle Paul told Timothy, “Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses” (I Tim. 6:12). While we want to enjoy times of peace and calm, let us not forget that the life of a Christian is one of fighting and turmoil against Satan (II Cor. 10:4-5). Since this is true, let us look to the Bible and find what will help us “fight the good fight of faith.”... CLICK

“ 5 Blessings A Christian Who Marries A Non-Christian Won’t Have”
Gordon Skinner
Most Christians who marry a non-Christian don’t fully consider the spiritual consequences until it’s too late. Here are some things for a Christian to consider before making the choice of marrying a non-Christian.
You won’t:
1) Grow in the grace and knowledge of the Lord together (II Pet. 3:18). Christian mates can complement, motivate, and encourage one another in the faith and striving for spiritual maturity. The non-Christian may not actively hinder the Christian mate but they won’t be an asset to them spiritually by being outside of Christ. Indeed they will make the narrow road narrower than it otherwise might be (Matt. 7:13-14).
2) Be able to worship together acceptably. Until they become a Christian, the worship of a non-Christian is mere lip service and vanity. Acceptable worship is done in spirit and truth giving God the glory through obedience. Something one outside of Christ is unable to do with God’s blessing (Jn. 4:24; Lk. 6:46; Acts 2:38-42).
3) Be able to provide your children an example of unity (Amos 3:3, Matt. 6:24). A Christian and non-Christian are walking two different paths. They hold to different values and will confuse their children. How can a non-Christian father bring his children up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord (Eph. 6:4) when he refuses such himself?
4) Fully appreciate the marriage relationship as God intended. There is a physical relationship that all mankind can enjoy through the marriage relationship. However, only the Christian husband and wife can fully appreciate and connect the physical and spiritual in a sweet union that will transcend themselves and see the selfless, loving, and uniting relationship God offers (Eph. 5:22-33; II Pet. 1:3-4).
5) Be heirs together of the grace of life (I Pet. 3:7). Those who love God more than their non-Christian mate will be eternally separated from them at judgment. They may walk hand in hand along some shore, sit together and watch a sunrise or sunset in this life but they will not be together to see the river of life or the light of God in that heavenly home (Rev. 22:1-5; II Thess.1:6-9).
Indeed a Christian should seriously consider the spiritual consequence of marrying a non-Christian. What you will have will seem small in comparison to what you won’t have if you make that choice.
Thousands died because they considered sin as nothing! Despite the pleading of Jeremiah, the Jews refused to walk in “the old paths” (Jer. 6:16). In the face of Ezekiel, they were hard-hearted and impudent as he pled with them to return (Ezek. 3:7). Others such as Elijah and Elisha, Hosea and Micah, Samuel and Malachi, as well as scores of others, both named and unnamed, (but all known to God) continued preaching God’s word for the purpose of getting people to repent of their sins. Some saw success (Jonah, Oded, etc.); while others died for preaching God’s will, and standing opposed to what the sinful people were doing (Heb. 11:37).
We have a choice. Will we consider sin as nothing, or will we stand with the Lord? The world will hate us for being God’s friend (Jn. 15:19-20), but God will reward us. Choose wisely, your soul depends on it!
